YouthBuild SA, in partnership with the Trevor Noah Foundation, creates pathways for South African youth who are not in education or employment, responding to the factors that drive youth and addressing the root causes of youth unemployment.
The programme offers life-skills training addressing the psychosocial issues young people face and tackles their emotional and social challenges, such as self-confidence, coping strategies and workplace behavior, alongside technical training and hands-on skills development to improve young people’s prospects of finding and keeping work. This training builds and improves the knowledge and abilities required in the workplace and provides practical knowledge and job-ready abilities tailored to real workplace demands
Beyond individual outcomes, FIP strengthens whole communities. The programme helps young people enhance their livelihoods and become contributors to local development, while also investing in school infrastructure and education initiatives that reinforce community resilience and opportunity. In doing so, FIP not only transforms lives but builds more vibrant, economically active neighborhoods.
